Festivities with Smirnoff

Being half Moroccan and half Czech while having grown up in The Gambia and Sweden, with a best friend that is half Columbian and half American who grew up in Angola, we are never in the same city when it comes to spending Christmas with family. We have a mini tradition to have a celebration ourselves – this includes baking minced pies, decorating the tree of whoever hosts the celebration, exchanging gifts and best of all, doing it over yummy cocktails! Might I add, this is not as cheesy as it sounds - it’s actually always such a fun evening.

I’ve come across 3 of Smirnoff’s new festive cocktails that are too scrumptious for words. With all three being different in many ways (but so easy to make), they are perfect for this time of year whether it be a Christmas office party, an intimate family gathering for dinner or a New Years Eve celebration.

Christmas Canes

Anything that involves canes is a must in the month of December, right? With a bit of a tangy twist, this cranberry delight is hard to put down.

Ingredients:

(2 Units Per Serve)

• 40ml Smirnoff Vodka

• 15ml lime

• 10ml sugar

• 20ml cranberry juice

Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice (I like my cocktails quite cold and who are we kidding, it’s so fun to use a shaker) and garnish with a candy cane.

Smirnoff Peppermint Twist Hot Chocolate

Did someone say dessert in a mug? For all you fellow hot chocolate lovers, this one is for you! Taking hot chocolate to a whole new level, the twist of peppermint is new and intriguing. It’s the ideal cocktail for a cosy setting.
