As the first touristic attraction on my holiday in Marrakech, I visited the astonishing Jardin Majorelle of Yves Saint Laurent with my mother. Palm trees, cactus, fountains and gold fish – if only our backyards at home could be so artistically beautiful. The bold colours of the garden are the essence of Moroccan tradition and culture, I felt right at home as soon as I walked in.
We coincidentally dressed like we belonged to the garden (no joke, we did not plan it). With my cobalt blue mini skirt and my mother’s yellow midi dress, we should have asked for a job application to be part of the garden’s decoration.
