I recently just got back from a 5-day holiday on the gorgeous island of Mykonos. For those of you who aren’t geographically gifted (like myself), it’s in Greece. The trip was spontaneously booked on quite a merry night out with friends, it ended up being 8 of us on this trip. When on a group holiday, the more the merrier!
We stayed at the lush Rocky Mansion Villa that overlooked the overwhelmingly beautiful ocean. I had to pinch myself a few times because the view literally looked photoshopped. The villa provides a helpful concierge service for you that are so welcoming and kind, I felt like a princess for the few days.
The island is small and only has about 30 cabs on it, so it’s important to find your own route of transport. We ended up renting quads – I can’t stress how much fun these are to discover the island with!
As we went in April, it was the off-season. I didn’t really mind going at this time since we had most beaches to ourselves and the town wasn’t swarming with eager tourists. Most of the popular restaurants and clubs are closed during this time, but there was still enough open for us to have a good time.

We spent most of our days relaxing by the pool while listening to tunes and since we were 8 people and had the view that we had, it kind of felt like we were at a beach bar to be honest. We barbequed on the terrace at the villa on one of the nights and ate out the rest of the evenings – there were gorgeous restaurants on the harbour to choose from. One of the main highlights of this trip was being spoiled with all the scrumptious Greek food. Fried calamari and tzatziki in particular! I love Greek food so everything was a real treat.

As summer is approaching, I’m sure you’ll begin planning your get-away destinations soon. Mykonos is definitely somewhere I’d recommend for you to visit – the whole experience was exquisite. Find bargain deals here.
