Outfit Post #140: Watercolour Blossoms

A floral print that came to life with watercolour paint – behold a treasure that is Ted Baker’s winter collection.

As you can probably tell from the photos above, I’m obsessed with this romantic, botanical print. Not only do I have the printed top and kimono, but I am also lucky enough to add the sandal heels and slip-ons to my collection of must-haves.

I choose to style the radiant blooms in two different ways – look one represents feminine chic in a lace midi skirt and the second look leans more towards lady-like edge in high-waisted trousers.

To rock the sandal heel, I tie a denim shirt in a knot to compliment the high waist of the ballerina skirt. I prefer to keep my accessories simple in this look to make the deep violet blossoms the focus of my ensemble. A pair of heels appropriate for many joyous occasions, flaunt your floral beauties to a cheerful cocktail party, a delightful dinner date or for a sassy night out with the girls.

My second look in the earthy print is more of a casual, day-to-day look. I pair my slip-ons with a matching pleated top and kimono that glides alongside you as you walk. The fuchsia flowers peep out from underneath my button-detailed trousers with every step I take, making this look part of the ‘matchy-matchy’ trend in a very subtle way. Worn with trousers, skirts or shorts, these slips-ons are my go-to shoe on any easy-going day.
